The phonetic rendering of "coffee" in India
a unique style of coffee most similar to a latte...
We are the Ministry of Kaapi. A woman-owned, direct-trade, wildlife friendly coffee company that sources, imports, and roasts damn fine Indian coffee. Oh, and we also brew some seriously smooth, super slow-drip coffee Decoction because we believe good things take time.
#MakeHasteSlowly
Personally Sourced
Favoring specialty beans from small, family-owned and operated estates, we frequently travel to South India in search of damn fine, and delicious, Indian coffee. Quality, not quantity.
Direct Trade
We currently source and buy from select coffee growers in Karnataka, offering you a limited curation. No middlemen. No blends. Just fresh single-origin coffees so you can taste the nuance of varietal & terroir.
We Give A Damn
Sustainability has always been a core component of Indian culture. And it happens to be a shared philosophy of ours, too. So it's no surprise the coffees we buy are sustainably grown and harvested and wildlife friendly.

Filter Coffee Decoction 3 Pack
$ 48.00
Handmade in small batches, our Decoction (coffee concentrate) is the basis for a traditional cup of South Indian Filter coffee. Brewed in a traditional South Indian coffee filter, it's stronger than espresso yet smoother. A little goes a long way!
To Prepare Filter Coffee, add 1 - 2 oz. decoction to 3 - 6 oz. hot or chilled milk. Sugar to taste. Enjoy!
One 16 oz bottle makes about 10 cups... So our 3 Pack = 30ish cups of coffee :)
Note: Decoction Packs ship Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. We recommend placing your order a few days before to account for fulfillment time.
